Using the database
The Google Spreadsheet currently housing our crowd-sourced database of books with trans representation is easy to access and search. Just use CTRL+F to search for specific terms (ex. “asexual”) or select “Data” → “Create filter view” to customize sorting and filters, such as to view specific formats or pillar ratings, sort by release year or alphabetical order (title/author).

With so many incredible books out there, it would be impossible for the Read Trans Books team to keep the database as full and up-to-date as possible, which is why we rely on volunteers like you to help contribute information about trans books you know and love. You can submit a brand new entry for a book that’s not in our database, or you can submit additional information or corrections for a book that we already have listed.
While our current focus is children’s and teen literature, you are welcome to submit anything from picture books to adult fiction; we hope that as this project grows, we will have a very healthy database of titles and reviews for all ages!
